Reflections on Introducing Kierkegaard

At the invitation of the Department of Scandinavian Languages and Literatures and the Institute of Philosophy, Bruce Kirmmse, Danish-born Kirkegaard scholar and professor emeritus at Connecticut College, will be visiting our university. In addition to his knowledge of Kierkegaard, Professor Kirmmse is an internationally recognised expert on the history of 18th-century Europe, a literary translator, author of two monographs and numerous articles, and a director of the Søren Kierkegaard Society and a member of the editorial board of the journal Kierkegardiana.

His lecture in English, starting at 2:00 p.m. on April 15, 2025, will be entitled: 

Reflections on Introducing Kierkegaard.
