On May 7 and 8, 2024, Cecilie Enger, contemporary Norwegian writer, was the guest of the department. On Tuesday, the author read from her latest novel (Ett minutts stillhet; A Minute's Silence, in preparation in Hungarian), published in 2023, and explained in detail the history of the book, the creative process of the characters' creation and the reasons for her choice of subject. He also discussed the power of language, the possibility of losing the language learned and the possibilities of its literary representation, and answered questions from the audience. On Wednesday, the author held an interactive seminar where students and teaching colleagues were given a more informal insight into Enger's work and had the opportunity to get to know each other better.
